Your photos

JPG, PNG, WebP, PDF and BMP. These conversions run in your browser. Your photos are read and converted on your device and are not sent to us.

GIF, TIFF and HEIC output. These need server software. When you choose one of them, your photo is uploaded over an encrypted connection and converted. The uploaded original is deleted as soon as conversion finishes. The converted file is deleted after you download it, or after about 15 minutes if you do not. Files are stored in a private location that is not publicly accessible, under random names. We do not look at, copy or keep your photos.

Optional server fallback. If you tick the box to let us convert photos that your browser cannot decode, those individual files are handled the same way as the server formats above.

In every case, metadata inside the photos, such as location, is not kept in the converted file.

Data we collect

Our web server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, requested page, time, browser type) for security and debugging. If you use the contact form we receive your email address and message so that we can reply. We do not sell personal data.

Cookies and analytics

See our cookie notice.

Third-party services

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. If your browser cannot decode a HEIC photo natively, the page loads an open-source decoder library from the jsDelivr content delivery network; your photo is not sent to that service, only the library is downloaded.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us.
